Signal Box — run the network
A game on the DevFest Gandhinagar site. Drag from one station to another to lay a line; trains find their own way. Keep nobody waiting too long, hit the target for the stage, and mind the rule that starts next.
The board is Gandhinagar: its sectors and landmarks stand where they stand, and the streets and the Sabarmati are drawn from open map data. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL.
Signal Box is a tribute to Mini Metro by Dinosaur Polo Club, which is the game it was built against: the way a line is drawn, the eight compass directions it runs on, and the look of the whole thing are theirs. Some of the geometry follows Peter Curry’s GCAP 2016 talk, “End of the Line: The Geometry of Mini Metro”. Signal Box is made for DevFest Gandhinagar and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Dinosaur Polo Club. If you like this, buy theirs — it is better.
